If you want everything like DSL + Wireless together, get NETGEAR DGN3500

If you want everything standalone like DSL connected to a Wireless Router, get D-Link DGL-4500

Notice: Nothing is gonna get affected. For NETGEAR DGN3500: You must have your Network E-mail and Password in order to get to internet. If you don't have it, refer from your original DSL router or call Comcast for information.

The router is absolutely awesome. The firmware UI is pretty easy to figure out, the dual band is nice, and the speed is great. I give it a big thumbs up.
Nice i think i will be picking this up tomorrow, and it seems to be nothing dsl related which is good, and i am glad that the UI is easy as i am used to lynksis.

alright i go this thing i am just now having some trouble setting it up, what is up with the 5ghz thing? what is that used for?

I also just saw a 3800 and a 4000 version is about to be available. this always happens to me.

EDIT: Now that i have gigabit Ethernet seems like my transfer speeds are the same do i have to do something special or something to get them to go a bit faster?

Well you would have to set it in the adapters configuration along with the routers, but unless your going to use it for a network that is not capped by a 100mbs device then its pointless. All devices in the network have to be gigabit devices, but that's not the only limitation, Hard drives and the potential Bus's of all the devices plays a factor as well so determine whether your Nic's n devices are using the PCI bus which will have a limit around 125mb/s or PCIe which can get around 250mbs, with a decent hard drive or raid array your looking at anywhere from 25mb/s to around 80mb/s a second with gigabit Ethernet. Here is a link where you can read up on all this stuff:

I've had the WNDR 3700 for about a month now. I was about ready to return the router due to numerous issues until i was able to get a hold of a netgears mistake beta firmware release of version .75. Now the router has been solid ever since and overall I'm happy with the router.

So far i love the router i just am trying to see if i have to activate anything for this gigabit thing which i doubt it, it may just be the way the NAS is setup.
