XArmor U9BL detection issues

Hey guys,

I've been using this keyboard for about a week now and it's been awesome, up until tonight.

For some strange reason, this keyboard is having a very hard time being detected on bootup. I've been trying to troubleshoot the issue. I've used both the PS2->USB adapter and straight PS2 connections and it seems to be a hit or miss. Just to do some more testing, I plugged in my older Saitek Cyborg keyboard and it seems to work fine 100% of the time. I'm at a loss here; the PS2 connector on my U9BL doesn't seem damaged, and about 1 out of 10 times that I connect it into the PS2 slot (or USB slot via adapter for that matter) it seems to get detected.

I've also tried updating the BIOS on my Rampage III Formula but it didn't solve the issue. I'm at a loss as to what I can try next, especially since I'm constantly fiddling with my PC which means I remove my keyboard connection at least a few times per week. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Do other PS/2 keyboards work alright?

Unfortunately, I don't have another PS/2 keyboard to try out. Right now I'm typing this message just fine on the XArmor, but I'm going to inevitably have to disconnect it to swap out a dead SSD later on this week (surfing the web from PartedMagic ftw). What's odd is it only started having this issue after my SSD died. Before that it was working perfectly fine, and at the moment, is working perfectly okay. I'm wondering if a faulty wire inside the keyboard is to blame and if I should just RMA this one.
