Heatsink touching case side fan.

Just finished buying this case:
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=44542&...A%20Technology,

put it together and the 230 mm fan is nipping my heatsink... Literally barely touching it, but enough to make a difference.

I'm using this heatsink:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=41337&...e=COOLERMASTER

The fan is touching the lower set of cooper tips. I was thinking of maybe "chiseling" or just cutting off 1/2 cm, is this advisable? Removing the 230mm and replacing it with another fan doesn't really work because the side of the case is literally only meant for a fan of that size.

Also, how in the world have you guys managed to get your PSU cables in the side panel. I spent like 1 hour trying to get the cables to fit on the side, but there was always half an inch of extra cable sticking out.

So basically, I can't put both sides to my computer on, for the moment. lol.
