lol I got 4 gigs atm , and im struggling!

try unzipping a 12GB 1080 movie with 4 gigs of ram! even 8 gigs wont cut it

If you may want to overclock down the track, you'll want the K, but you'll want to upgrade the cooling. The hotter your CPU runs the lower life it has, stock or not.

And I could be very much mistaken here, but I believe unzipping is mostly a CPU task rather than memory. The system takes a small chunk of the zipped file, pops it into memory, unzips it, places it on the hard disk, and asks for another. If your zipping program is attempting to load all 12Gb into memory, you need a different zipping program - that's not healthy...

As far as everything fitting, yes, it'll fit!

You've got an HTPC case, with non-HTPC internals

I guess with the 5 HDDs and the need to 'unzip' 12Gb movies, you're edging toward something that's not allowed

Unzipping is usually hindered by HDD speeds, so unless those 4 HDD's are in RAID0, I wouldn't worry about the RAM

when I unzip stuff , i can see my ram getting eaten up real fast , using winzip.

will my build fit into that case? (5x hardrives . 1 of them a small SSD i can put somewhere....atm its just hanging in midair the SATA cable is holding it up lol)

It'll fit into the case. You can either get a mounting kit for the SSD, or velcro or zip tie it down.
