Musiland monitor us 02 and Ubuntu

Hi,

I'm going to buy an external DAC for my laptop but I'm wondering if the Musiland Monitor us 02 is compatible with ubuntu.

So the question is directly addressed to Musiland DAC owners. does it works under linux? and if so, there's any lack of performance compared with the proprietary drivers in Windows?

Tnx

It is only compatible with Windows, no other OS. Google it and see.

Yes, I googled and I know that there are not proprietary drivers for linux (and mac). I was just wondering if it works with generic linux drivers.

I suppose that Musiland's engineers just can't grant for compatibility with other OS that they didn't make drivers for.
But i don't understand if this DAC will work the same, will work less properly, or won't work at all.

Hi erazerhead,
did you finally figured out if we can use Musiland US 01 on Ubuntu with generic drivers? I was not able to find anything clear about it...
I have wrote a line to Musiland support, I will keep you informed in case of news coming from them.
