That is all you will need. It is by far the best bang for the buck. You would be hard pressed to put a custom cpu loop together that would cool better than it.
Hard pressed? Not at all. But for the same cost? Yes, hard pressed. lol

With the RX360 kit, you should get a good 10-15c drop in temps over even the highest air cooling heatsinks.

The bigger/thicker the rad, the more area it has to dissipate heat, therefor it cools better. Also, thicker rads are good when your going for a quieter setup, as they can cool just as well as thinner rads, but at much lower noise levels.

well with my custom WC im getting 65c load for a 4.6ghz OC with 1.46v
When i had my Noctua D14 (one of the best Air coolers) It was hitting 80c and sometimes close to 90 so yeah water has a massive difference in temps.

My WC consists of xspc rs360 rad, mpc355 w/xspc plexi top, EK universal water block, Bitspower res and some blue UV tubing, just for refference.

I have the rx360 kit that I linked last and a i7 950. Check my build log link in my sig for before and after temp screen shots and what to expect building your 1st loop.
