OCing PH II Deneb 965 BE

Thread Starter
I got Deneb 965 BE cooled by Corsair H50 (push/pull) running in a HAF 932 idling at 24C, max load roughly 35C. I am totally new to overclocking. Is there a fast, safe, easy method to overclock my CPU?

Any re directions, suggestions and what not greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you want an automated overclock then try AMD overdrive or Turbo Evo. In my opinion a manual overclock will yield better results and stability. But there are various programs that have auto-overclocking. There are quite a few good threads here on overclocking for beginners.

I went ahead and downloaded AMD Overdrive. Installed it no problem. Is there a guide to properly overclocking using this utility? Thanks.

Hi, doesnt your mainboard have an auto overclck facility? CPU UP it's called on mine and you just select the speed you want, mine goes from stock 3.2 to 3.4, 3.6, 3.8 and any work my system fine, and sails thru stress test on any of them...

for sure u can find guides on how to use amd overdrive but the better way to learn about it is to start doing it yourself...just start by increasing your cpu multiplier until you get the cpu frequency to about 3.5ghz then stress test with prime 95 or occt...just make sure that you don't let the temps past 62c after that stability drops off a cliff
