I will upgrade to either X6 or bulldozer for sure. There's no doubt about it.

In the meantime... do you think these will perform well at 1600-1800? will i be able to get the same timings as the other set? Im really confused as per which set will work better with my CPU or if i am going to get worst performence then with what i have now... :S

You will not see any performance boost between the memory in your sig rig and memory you are thinking of buying. Only in bench test you will see a difference. But a DDR3 1600 7-8-7 would be better.

The lower the timing the quicker the memory will cycle.

Thats what I said. w/future processor upgrades in mind , hell, even a 2000MHz cl 11 would be awesum, but for the time beign run it at lower JDEC specs... get that from CPU Z... 2000 is going to make ur PH 2 trip ... esp. w/ 4 mem slots populated... keep in mind that DDR 4 ram is gonna be for portables and desktops will stick to DDR 3 for a bit --- enough for an entire platform upgrade... but 2K and future proof urself... and it'll make u all bench happy, even if the PH 2 CAN'T USE THAT

K then ... ur 159 bux down maite

It's not 4 slots, it's 2. It's 2X4GB so only 2 slots will be populated..... is there any advantage having memory in all 4 slots?

As far as I know, having more sticks just puts more stress on the memory controller, which might limit your overclockability.

Everyone says lower timings, but they are both probably the same ram with looser timings in order to reach 2000mhz. Just go with whichever one fits your builds look then tweak them to hit the performance level that you want to obtain.

Well , I just presumed ur working w/ something right now so...

Any how .. get the 2000 and set manual timings in ur bios and u'll be pleased. check out the timings from cpu z if u haven't a clue... and they're other programs that'll spec ur ram in detail! Of course, set them to loose initially, boot up, look @ the jdec specs, and then tighten

A post said u'll need 3K at the NB to use 2K ddr3 ram, true... U can still use it, and as they;re for the same price buy the 2K

Where the heck is bullldozer
