Friend's 430D

Thread Starter
My friend wants to buy an Antec 430D that's on sale at Newegg right now. He wants to know how much he can push/or whats the limit on it.

His rig:

Intel Core i7 950 @stock (he says he may try to get his hand on overclocking a little later)
AMD 6850
4 GB DDR3 G Skill Eco
ASUS Maximus III Gene
2 WD 1TB HD

I am no PSU expert, so I thought I'd ask.

Yes, it will power that system, with headroom.

Keep in mind that the EA-430D only has a single 6-pin PCIe power plug, which may limit future GPU upgrades.

What is he using right now for a PSU?

He has nothing. This is an entire new build from the ground up.
