GTX 5XX vs. HD 6XXX: Audio processing, 3D and DX11

Hello guys, I currently own a HD 5850 and I'm going to upgrade. At first I was pretty much decided on a GTX 460 SLI, but then I started waiting on the GTX 560 to check it out and in the meantime everything changed.

I'm building a 5.1 system with audiophile equipement:
Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1 LCR
Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 for surrounds
HSU VTF-3 Mk3 Subwoofer
Yamaha RX-A2000 Receiver

my main source will be my computer for music, gaming and movies.

Additionally, I'm buying a 3D TV, which I intend to use for 3D gaming too, also movies and such.

So, my questions are pretty simple:

1= I know HD 68XX series and up run on 3D televisions with no problems at all, it's weak spot are in monitors, but I've no intention of using a 3D monitor, no intention AT ALL. So: 3D Vision also works with 3D TVs or just 3D monitors with nVidia's 3D Vision technology?

2= I know I can hook my HD 5970 via HDMI to my Receiver and get high quality audio out of it, which makes the use of a sound card something futile. But can the same be said about nVidia's mini HDMI out?

3= I saw some benchmarks in which the HD 6970 gets rammed by the GTX 570 in DX11 games and others for the same game in which they're pretty much equal. How come???

The 6900s are still on pretty much launch drivers, which aren't always great while the GeForce cards have had a dew driver updates in the meantime.

It's all about testing procedures and the drivers used.

Some sites are very clearly biased and some sites don't know what they're doing. If you're lucky, there will be an unbiased, knowledgeable site.

Can't check the sites at the moment, but I am betting that either unstable drivers, flat-out bad drivers, or different settings were used between those two reviews.

I'm pretty much set for a 6970 or 6950 because of 3D compatibility with 3DTVs and it's audio decoding.
