Is it true that SB will only allow PCI-e to run 8x by 8x instead of 16x by 16x?

Hmmm..ok, so it seems some mobo's are able to support 2 pci-e at 16 x...like Gigabyte's UD7?

Even if the motherboard has two/three PCI-E x16 lanes, it can still only support x8/x8. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but this is a limitation of the chipset.

^ This. The differences between 16x/16x and 8x/8x are damn near undetectable so you won't really notice any difference in gaming.
