Phone got stolen, but I have an upgrade available in 14 days- where to buy?

Thread Starter
Somone broke into my car and stole my droid, but I have a free upgrade available in 14 days. So i'll just tough it out till then.

Question, Is there a way I can go through a site like Newegg or Wirefly and not have to pay the stupid sales tax on this upgrade? I would like it to be really free with no BS fees. I have verizon, and right now the HTC incredible says that it's "free"

Pretty sure you have to go through your provider for an upgrade, but I could be wrong.

You can use wirefly, newegg, or even bestbuy.

i am not a fan of best buy for most things but one thing that they do is cut the MIR out of upgrades. They give you the discount right at the store so you dont have to mess with the MIR.

The one thing that BB got right is how to handle the mobile phone companies when purchasing/upgrading a phone.

If you go through your provider, you can probably get the upgrade early. Most carriers won't care if it's only 14 days.

ok cool. I'm just worried that they will charge me a whole lot of money and that it won't actually be free.
