I even spoke to multiple staff, who agree with me.
I'm quite sure my trader rating speaks for itself, and its quite obvious it wasn't sold as a 100% Working 470.
The thread states no refunds due to the nature of the sale, so I'm not going to go ahead and refund someone who bought a knowingly problematic card, then when they got it, lo and behold, they have problems.
I didn't scam anyone in any way, this was purely an error on the buyers part for not properly reading the thread. I specifically stated on the thread that the only thing I would refund for is Dead on Arrival, as in the card doesn't boot at all, which is does, so makes it a moot point.
End of story.
I normally wouldn't discuss this in the open forum, but I am quick to defend myself from claims of scamming, which are untrue, and potentially damaging to my good reputation.
I knew it was you with your first post in this thread
. I didn't even have to go snooping and find the FS thread.

As far as I'm concerned there was massive miscommunication about it as I was lead to believe the card was fine in games, but however thats not the case as as soon as I used the card, loading any 3D instantly artifacts and black screens.
In my books I count this as a dead card and NOT working albiet with minor issues as implied.
It was clearly stated in his for sale thread that the card functioned fine as a SECONDARY card (PhysX or folding), and that it worked fine FOR HIM as a main card, but he would not guarantee it would do the same for you.
You bought a card knowing full well it could be faulty. This is in NO WAY Waffle's fault. You should have read his thread better I guess.
I'm not trying to be mean at you, just stating...his thread states all the facts.
Why not just RMA it through scan or whatever (assuming that's the retailer)? Or maybe through POV themselves?
Ever stop to think that maybe the artifacting isn't even the GPU at fault? There's no way that your True Power Trio 550w can supply enough power for that card. I would know, I have one sitting here, not being used. It's a really old ATX design unit, that doesn't have very much power on the 12v rail at all. And given its age (The TP3 units are quite old), it's probably not putting out anywhere near rated anymore.Edited by pioneerisloud - 1/8/11 at 6:06pm
