i use a regular b+w 77mm, but the widest lens i use with a cpl is 17mm (fullframe) with no vignetting (i think). at 11mm you might get some vignetting so the slim might work better for u, but i think the slim requires a special lens cap.
i also have a marumi 77mm which i have in my bag. its a bit brighter i think....but it does flare and stuff.....
directly from the b+w pdf: "B+W Polarizing Filters are available uncoated and with B+W’s proprietary MRC coating."
my non-mrc cpl definately does flare where the lens alone does not. i also got the uncoated 4x and 6x screens with a couple of 67mm clear glass filters too.
if you want a cpl for cheap the hoyas are definately a good buy.
i got a normal non-slim filters on my 10-22mm and the vignetting is not that bad at 10mm. super easy to fix in raw conversion.
also be warned about using a cpl on super wide lenses, the effect won't be even across the frame and you'll get weird colors.Edited by Dream Killer - 1/12/11 at 2:02am
