I want to use a program to figure out to see if my BSOD's are caused by drivers and software or whether it is my video card. I'm thinking about trying Registry Winner, but I'm not sure, and I still don't what's causing the BSOD's that have been plaguing my computer for almost 2 months now. So help me out please, I just want to run my computer without any problems and play the games that I was before.

You can't just "run a single program" and see what is causing BSOD's.

What is the BSOD code that you are most commonly receiving?

Running (and passing) a few timed runs of Furmark will eliminate the GPU, and running stress tests such as LinX or Prime95 will eliminate the CPU.

If it BSOD's during either, come back here and let us know which program you were running while it BSOD'd

i get error code

0x000116 and atikmdag.sys

also just as I was about to post something, my computer shut down-again (parts of the desktop were being blurred as well, and even when it was re-booting, it was still blurry...but when it got to the log in page in safe mode, their's no blur). Now I'm in safe mode, as I speak...

The blurriness of the screen makes me think its a GPU issue, have you recently overclocked your GPU? If it is try stock clocks.

Have you recently updated display drivers?

Furmark crashed when I ran the Multi-GPU part. Back in safe mode again. Also, I uninstalled drivers and updated to 10.12 but not totally sure. And no, I've never over-clocked my GPU...I've always left it alone, so that problems like this wouldn't happen...but now it has.

Go in safe mode and uninstall all ati and nvidia drivers using driver sweeper. Then install the ATI drivers for your video card. If the latest are giving you BSODs, try installing an older driver but not before you uninstall the current one. If no driver works for you, then it's time for a new card (use the warranty on this one if you can to get a replacement).

I'm assuming drivers haven't remedied the issue since your only response is 'bump' ?

I'd point more to the card itself if multiple driver packs are failing.
Of course, you could always reformat to rule out any malware/software problems.

I already tried reformatting it by running a system restore. I ruled that out.
