need a powersupply.

Thread Starter
Apply's to the current sig rig. as you can see 1.2Kw is overkill. so i want to get a more suitable wattage. (Im guessing 750-850w?)

i would like a price of no more then 150$ if possible. and is a good 750 cutting it close? i know for a fact an 850 is fine. but i want to have a bit of headroom. just not more wattage then ill actually use really.

i would of gone with a no brainer, like Seasonic X-850 or corsair AX850 as well as XFX 850's.

but they are slightly over 150$.

thing's i want on it.

1. must be modular.
2. and have 4X 6pin PCIE.
3. no more then 150$.

Im not to good on powersupply's. so a good suitable quality unit that can power the sig rig fine with the stated overclock's. and im golden!

how is this unit? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256058

A 650W would be adequate.

The SeaSonic X750 is one Newegg for $130 at the moment, it's the blow out sale before they replace it with the X760 (a cheaper to manufacture version of the same thing).

Higher efficiency most likely.

Corsair AX850 (850W) works for me. Fully modular. You might need an extension for the 8 pin cable though as you have a huge case. I needed one for my Fractal Design Define XL.
