Feedback for my .NET-based image editing program?

So, story is, I started working on an image editing program when I was 13. I called it "Nookkin's Paint Shop" (yes, go ahead and laugh). It was written in VB6 and ran like crap, but I learned many things from the experience.

A couple years back, I decided to start over in VB.NET (and do everything on my own), and renamed the project to "NPS". Sadly, I haven't had much time to work on it with classes and my job, but I got a good amount of progress over break.

This is just a hobby project of mine; it's a work in progress and is completely non-profit. I'm trying to make something that users will enjoy and make use of.

With that in mind, here's the Alpha 3 release: Download

I'd really appreciate any sort of feedback on the current state of the program, whether it be "wow, that's cool" or "dude, X feature sucks!". Thanks.

I haven't tried your program yet, but have you thought about making it open source and putting it on sourceforge?

Yeah, I thought about that... but there would be the issue of people downloading the source, changing a couple strings, and passing it off as their own program. I believe the people behind Paint.NET had that issue despite the popularity of the program. I'm still somewhat undecided in this regard but either way, I'd want to get a bit more progress on it first.

If you release it under the GPL that shouldn't happen.
