It's hard to explain, but here's a screenshot which shows all of its options:

I'm not sure, but I think the most unique feature might be the "Unlock power draw" feature. I don't know what this does yet, but every time I've seen OC Scanner recommended, a strong point was made to use that feature. It increases the GPU's workload somehow.

Again, I couldn't use this when I had the MSI-identifying BIOS. I don't remember the exact error message, but it certainly caused me to get an EVGA-identifying BIOS.

one more question.

can you use a hardrive (500gb caviar blue) as a boot up drive instead of a usb flash drive i don't have. probly dumb question as i can't see why not, but a confirm would be nice.
you would have to write the hard drive with the same bootsector and format it with FAT32. But yes it will work

you could try flashing it with galaxy xtremetuner HD within windows. it usually works on the first flash. it worked on my card for the first 4 times and then i needed nvflash after that.

I've never been able to open Kombuster because it always claims I don't have DirectX 11 (well, it's some kind of error, and I've been told that it basically translates into saying "Hey, you don't have DirectX 11. I need that to run. Sorry.").

So that is why I did not know that Kombuster is like a combination of Furmark and EVGA OC Scanner.
