Seasonic: OEM vs Retail QUALITY?

So,

I'm still after those cheap PSUs that will be going into the computers...

So...I know that OEM Seasonics are based on regular Seasonic designs, like S12II or M12D...but internal quality wise, they differ.

But to what degree to they differ? Can anyone attest to the quality differential inside the PSUs? Like, what capacitors do the OEMs use and is something missing in the OEM one?

Any input would be appreciated?

Thanks.

I think only one of the OEM ones has been reviewed, one of the S12II ones. Wasn't too different from the retail version, a little higher ripple and a Taiwanese instead of Japanese primary cap, shorter cables, cheaper fan, nothing in the box but the PSU.

Otherwise not much difference.

Thanks. Do you remember where you saw that review?
