if you're not getting good performance with your 5850 then you're doing something wrong.

its no that i dont get good performance, quite the oposite actually, i get good performance for most games but bfbc2 hasnt ran properly since 10.4 drivers. its just certain things that are bugging me, driver issues for the most part.

you're going to have issues with nvidia too. maybe not the same problems, but there will still be problems.

i'm tired of hearing people saying "i don't like ati because i'm having driver problems" well then you're doing something wrong.

Never said i didnt like ati, infact this has been the best card i've ever had, had 0 problems for like 8 months while on 10.4, decided what the hell and updated...that started the flood of issues, and i dont expect nvidia to be issue free, just want a change of pace!

You do not have to dislike ATI or nvidia to upgrade. I liked my 5870 and 5850 but that does not mean the GTX570 is not an upgrade.

I love the arrogance. So EVERYONE who has had trouble with ATI drivers are incompetent? Unreal. ATI drivers were dump with xfire. I don't care what you say. All of the users who complain about the crappy ATI drivers are not lying and its not user error. Get over it and pull your head out of the sand

Sorry about the double post

That would be a good upgrade, the 5850 will still play most anything out there so I would hold off on an upgrade unless the drivers suck that bad and you can sell the 5850 for a good bit.

I've got no experience with SLI so can't vouch for how hassle free they are.

Crossfire isn't for the faint of heart, you do have to learn and research a bit more about it. Get RadeonPro, amazing program for crossfire, basically you can have all the ATI drivers all on your system at the same time.
BUT
Once you dial in crossfire, the rewards are astonishing, it just pumps out ridiculous FPS's.
