Sorry about the double post
then why is it that i'm only having 2 issues?

what i'm saying is, driver problems are inevitable no matter what kind of a product it is, not just GPUs either.

Coming from a 5850 myself I saw much more consistent FPS switching over to a 570 in BFBC2, Metro2033, and FalloutNV.

About the AMD drivers--I personally never ran into any glitches/stuttering or driver problems of any kind--until I tried out a 5970...but that was with old drivers I cannot say this is still true but they did get 'better' from what I've read.

yes, this is true.
i'm saying driver issues will always be there no matter what brand you go with.

I am looking at a GTX 570 as well, getting tired of my 5850. It is really a pain in the ass to get it folding, and it doesn't fold that well anyway. Also it gives me a lot of bugs in bad company 2 which I play a lot.
What's even worse is that I can't seem to find a way to control the VRM temps, they skyrocket no matter which config I try

Well I never had any issues with my 5850, loved it a actually, but decided it was time for it to go, so that I could get some money back and upgrade. I had thought of xfire but read everywhere about the amazing scalability of the gtx 460s, being much better than that of a 5850. I sold my card to a friend needing an upgrade from a 4850, needless to say he is well happy. I then wanted to get at least the performance of crossfire 5850s for my next choice without having ended up spending a fortune in total. Picked up 2 hawks for a total of £310 and I'm getting £150 back for my card. So I spent the equivalent to buying another 5850 now, but got 2 460s instead. I couldn't be happier! Love the green team you can force 64x antialiasing for gods sake! Using both cards to antianalase. Basically op it's all about cost effectiveness and keeping your losses to a minimum and gains to a maximum. Hope my rant helps you in some way. Think if you sell you card and buy a 570 (like I thought of doing) you will be paying out a fortune in total for little gain, do the smart thing and get a pair of 460s or 6850s
