Looking for a mechanical keyboard, confused on which one to get

Hello all!

Over the past five years, I've gone through four different rubber dome keyboards, so I am finally looking at picking up a mechanical keyboard since I herd they last much longer than rubber domes. For the last couple of days I have been researching on what keyboard I should get, and with what switches I should use.

I've been looking at getting a Deck Legend - ICE keyboard
http://www.deckkeyboards.com/product_info.php?products_id=52

I noticed it comes with either cherry mx blacks or cherry mx clears. I'm kinda confused on what the difference is between cherry mx clear switches and the brown ones. I've read that the clears are browns with the black spring, so they are stiffer. Does that mean they are harder to press down? Are they more like blacks than they are blues?

Also, whats the difference between a USB and a PS/2 keyboard? Is it better to have a mechanical keyboard using PS/2 instead of USB?

Oh, I also looked at Das keyboards, and they look really nice, but I've herd that the lettering on the keys wear off after awhile. Is this true? And also, how is Deck build quality?

I've currently owned a das for quite some time and havn't had any problems. Havn't seen any wear yet on the keys. Don't know much about the Deck keyboards, so no help to you there.

Manyak has a very good mechanical keyboard guide on OCN. It mentions the difference between Cherry MX brown, clear, blue, etc.

If I remember, browns are more silent than clears and require less force. The PS/2 interface is technically better, since it allows N-key rollover, while a USB interface at most allows 6+2 key rollover (but that may be all you need).
