problems with msi graphics card

Thread Starter
I am building my new computer and on boot up the there is no output from the video card.

I have a msi p55a-gd55 mother board, and a msi geforce gtx460 cyclone graphics card.

I have hooked up the two 6 pin power wires and tried both pci x16 slots no good. The fan on the card is spinning on boot up.

I used a very crappy non pci graphics card and it works so the monitor and cables are good.

So I don't know if I have a issue with the card or the motherboard. Any ideas?

Thanks
My System

not much i can think of, but if you see an option in your BIOS that says "Main Primary Graphics" make sure its set to PCI-E not PCI or w/e.

not sure if that is even the problem frown.gif

Yeah, you want to go into the bios and change the primary video adapter to PCI-E 16x
