Adding Silentcats to RASA RS 240 RAD

So I bought a Rasa RS240 kit which arrived in the mail yesterday, and I'm awaiting a new case to do install it all.

I was planning on installing the rad on the top of the case, where I have right now 2 TT Silentcats pulling air out. Would they provide any advantage if I place them on one side of the rad (as push or pull) since I won't have any use for them if I take them out?

were you planning on using the 2x fans that come with the kit as well? if so i suggest using 2 of the same type of fans for push pull on each side. this way the air movment is uniform.

i dont know anything about those fans though, like there static pressure and what not. if they are low static pressure you may be better off just using the 2 fans the kit comes with, or buying 4 new fans like scyth gt's or the like.

like this ttpush otherpush
ttpull otherpull

Ok I was thinking that since I keep hearing to use the same fans. Would this give me a performance increase though? Or should I go and buy 4 new fans?

god those fans are ugly.

i'd personally never use another thermaltake product again.

Heh, I've had them for quite some time in my case and they've worked pretty good. They're on the top so they're really hard to see.

On a side not, where can I get gentle typhoons for a good price?

prices don't change much, they shift maybe $2-$3

Considering the amount of shipping I'll have to pay for PR, any saving is good. biggrin.gif
