Please help with a build. Hello Sandy =]

Ok it has been couple months now since I'm planning to build a new rig, since I'm still running of a quad 6600. So I first waited for the new gpu's to lauch, then I heard of sandy and I decided to wait for it too. Now it's finally here, so I want to get the most out of it. I have about 2500~ to spend, I want to get the best I can with that money.

What I got so far is: case (Lian Li X200F), monitor, mouse, keyboard.

What I need:

CPU: I want to go with the i7 2600K.

Mobo: I dont know yet, I want to dual SLI, and was thinking about getting a ASUS Maximus IV Extreme, but I heard something about this board that is not good for SLI's... Cant recall what was it, but I'll look into that and post later. So yeah, a board that would support Dual 580's.

GPU: 580 SLI, probably EVGA.

Font: I dont know how much power is needed, but I like to keep a safe margin for any future upgrades. So I was thinking about a 1200w power supply. I wanted to get a Corsair AX1200, but I heard about some loud coil noise, that freak the s* out of me. So I'm thinking about going a Thermatake. But I'm open to suggestions.

Memory: Dont know either...

HD/SSD: I want to get a 120~GB SSD (dont know which one) for windows and some applications, and a Samsumg F3 for storage.

Cooling: I want to stay on air, I have a wc pc already and I'm done with it. I was thinking about the noctua D14... is there any better one for this processor? And also would it fit?

What else am I missing?

Thanks a lot in advance.

impossible...Maximus = socket 1156

2600K = socket 1155

$2500k? That's going to be a pretty sweet rig.

$2500K budget, I'd wait it out for Ivy Bridge. People trying to shift from 1366 are actually downgrading. But if you need it now then you need it.

For the board you might want to get the Gigabyte UD7, it has the NF200 chip to allow 16x+16x for SLI. Memory, if you're looking to spend $200 on it someone recommended the STT $200 8GB kit with some crazy ass speeds 2133 I think. Maybe someone can recommend you a PSU, I've been out of the PSU loop for a while. Other than that, everything else looks good.

I'm still on a 4 year old 775 rig, so I think it's time for a upgrade. I have been pushing this for a couple months already and to wait for ivy will be more than a half year from now. But thanks to point that out.

Now on the board you did hit right on the spot... what I heard about the maximus is that carries that chip "NF200" and it wasnt good for SLI's. With the Gigabyte UD7 is different?

Now Im sorry but I didnt get the memory, I tried to google SST memory but could not get a result....

thanks so far

pls which memory and psu to get, and what is the best 120-128gb SSD out there right now? Also I have a question, these Ivy Bridge that will be coming up, are they like the extreme's (970, 980) which will cost about a grand, or there will be some chips at the price of the i7 950/2600k?
