worried about amp pull from the outlet

Thread Starter
hi im building a new computer and i was talking to my dad about it and he was telling me that with all the stuff im getting or plan on getting rather that it may exceed the wall outlets amps and trip the breaker...as far as i know my house has standard 15amp outlets and ill list all of the parts that i plan on getting or already have..im not sure if you need to know this or not but i dont plan on doing really heavy overclocking with it. (you will probally think all this stuff is over kill but i dont know the meaning of the word) so any help would be great

my soon to be built system specs

corsair 1200watt psu
bulldozer cpu (whenever it comes out)
high end am3+ motherboard maybe the crosshair 5 or something similar)
16gb of ddr3 4 4gb sticks 2000mhz memory(im aware i will need to overclock to achieve this speed)
2 6970's in crossfire
2 120mm 240cfm delta fans
3 120mm scythe ultra kaze fans(there the ones that push 150cfm of air or somthing close to that)
2 swift tech 655 pumps(already have 1 of them but debating on the second due to being scared of pulling too many amps and tripping the breaker)
a revo x2 ssd
standerd dvd rom(because i never use my cd/dvd drives other then installing os)
lamptron fan controller
3 27inch widescreens in eyefinity(i know that as of now you cant use eyefinity and xfire but most of the time ill be using eyefinity and only xfire in really demanding games)

well thats it i think if anyone with a similar system knows about how many amps it would take or if that will all be ok to power in one room

That setup isn't going to trip the breakers.
Also you don't need a 1200W PSU.

That system that you posted x 2 will not trip a 15amp breaker.

You mentioned 15amp....so you most likely reside in U.S.
Therefore, you household current will typically range from 110 to 120 volts.
That would yield 1650 to 1800 watts before breaker trips.

This is also based on dedicated circuit so you can't have mom using the blow dryer or dad firing up the 12amp Skil saw on same circuit.

See what I'm running? No blown fuses yet, and I'm about to increase the load.

(plus my house is nearly 80 years old)

You will be fine.
