Planning new build

Thread Starter
Still in the planning stages. This will be used for everything from web browsing to gaming. I'm building it to be as futureproof as possible. I intend to do small upgrades occasionally as needed.

Anyway, here goes

Case: CM HAF 942 X
PSU: CM 1200W
MB: Asus Crosshair IV Formula
CPU: 1090T
RAM Corsair 8GB DDR3 2000
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
GPU: 2x XFX or Asus 6970s
Storage: Intel 120GB SSD + 4 Hitachi 3TB HDD
Optical: LG Blu-ray burner
Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse III
Mouse: Logitech G500
Display: Samsung P2770FH 27"
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Accessory: steelseries 61051 3.5mm Connector 7H USB Headset

Thinking of a fan controller also, but not sure.

Everything including extra SATA cables for the hard drives comes to just under $4000 which is my budget for this build.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm more than likely going to hold out and wait for Bulldozer or *gasp* go with Sandy Bridge

According to custom pc, the 6970 is slower than the GTX 570 (which depending on the supplier are cheaper) may be something to consider. Other than that this proposed build makes me red with envy

if ur stacked with cash why go with AMD build when intel is much more effective combined with the moneyz ?
here you go dude , add a water cooler H50 or H70 and this build will probably kill any AMD =/
i5-2500k super combo
OC ur pc to 4.5-4.8 Ghz , add 2x 6950 (flashed to 6970) CF or 2x GTX 570 SLI and ur good to demolish anything on ur hard drive

Yeah that's what I'm going to do. But, I'll get the i7-2600k and 2x GTX 570s.

As far as cooling goes, I'm still thinking I'd prefer the Noctua over the H70.
