Dual GPU Fermi Collective (Photos and Specs)

Thread Starter
Hey guys, decided to make this thread as kind of a collection of all the possible upcoming dual-GPU NVIDIA cards we have been seeing pics and hearing rumors of for a while now. Please keep in mind a lot of these cards maybe just be prototypes and may never actually be released. All specifications are to be considered research-based information. If you happen to see anything not on this list please be sure to post and I will have it added.

I hardly doubt we'll see a 495
1st Pic was a photoshop, Second Pic is just a custom card with 2 470s on it(Much like Galaxies dual GTS 250 Card).

The 3rd one is unrealistic and I highly doubt it will ever go beyond development pictures. EVGA's picture could come to light, but I doubt it'll be anything more than a GF104 or GF114 GPU since the GF110 still has a high power draw.

Most likely these cards will be released under GTX500 series names or with custom monikers. It is also entirely possible that the older cards are being revised with GF110 and GF114 GPUs for future release. I am listing only what is the most current information on them.

This is correct and this is the standard that NVIDIA and AMD must apply to when designing their reference cards. However, when it comes to aftermarket partner projects, if they are designing their own custom cards they are not obligated to follow a set standard. They may add as many power connectors to the card as they see fit if the standard does not provide enough. On top of which they may also choose not to make them backward compatible with PCI-E 1.x and use up the full 150W requirement from the slot rather than the standard 75W.
PCI-E spec is the one that gives the limits to power draw. If you go outside those, then you can't use the PCI-E logo on the box. There is nothing to prevent a company shipping a card that runs outside the spec.
