Dual GPU Fermi Collective (Photos and Specs) - Page 7

^That white Galaxy looks delicious.. mmh.

@OP why list the ASUS/EVGA 590's so early? and shouldn't you list release date as 22nd?
And you should list Inno3D as well, considering they are making it. I wonder if the card's cooler will be different depending on the manufacturer considering only a handful are making it.

Performance wise, it is 'useless'. This dual-GF104 should perform similar to a GTX580, as in: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/..._460_1gb_sli/1

IMHO, what will not be 'useless' are:-
a. lower price at around US$450 (vs GTX580's US$500). I guess it will be priced between a GTX580 and a GTX570.
b. support of 3D Surround

Weakness:-
a. no more upgrade path as it cannot be SLIed with another of its kind (vs GTX580 can pair with another)

Here is info about an upcoming Galaxy card that fits the former title. It is not going to be the GTX590 as it has two GF104 (and so it might be called GTX490 GTX460x2 ?).
That is correct, I have decided to change the title in an effort generate more postings in this thread. I see many info posted elsewhere that I have to add here later on so I am hoping people will notice and post here instead so it can be the one-stop place for all your GTX495/GTX590 info. Thank you for finding that card by the way, I have added it to the OP.

Since it has been stated that ASUS and EVGA will be launching the retail versions of NVIDIA's GTX590, I have decided to post them up there for informational purposes. Also since NVIDIA's launch date is March 22, the retail cards will follow at a later date sometime close to NVIDIA's launch but not necessarily the same date. By the way, thank you for reminding me of Inno3D, I have added it as well.

Update: Updated info on EVGA leaked card from this thread: Link

Wonder if EVGA will allow step up from a GTX 580 to GTX 590? Also is it confirmed that the GTX 590 is two GTX 570's or down clocked GTX 580's yet?

Trying to figure out if I should buy a second GTX 580 or one dual GTX 590?
