how is this suppose to work, isn't there some thing like a 2tb cap on hdds.

Only for booting and if you dont have UEFI bios.

You can use it as a slave drive in any pc. You can only boot with it with mobos that use an UEFI bios.

I'd be tempted to buy 8 for a raid array if they were a bit cheaper and not ~double what 2 TB drives cost..

Man, the Hitachi website is completely useless. No information on number/size of platters or whether it's possible for the drive to advertise 4k sectors.
