Please help me choose between these Headphones/Headsets.

I'm going to replace my old generic sucky headset and I have a budget now to afford branded ones.

- - -

I'm looking for:
1. Build Quality
- I'm not a rich guy. I can't afford to buy a new one after the previous one which lasted only for 6months dies.

2. Sound Quality for Music
- I'm a metal head. I listen to Death Metal, Thrash Metal and any form of Metal and I listen to Classical Music too.

3. Mic Quality
- I'm a Counter-Strike: Source player. Having a good sound from my mic will help me and my team mates.

4. Comfortability
- On my previous headset, after an hour my ears hurts and I need to take a break to use the headset again.

- - -

Here are my choices: (but I can buy the ones that are not here in my list, as long as it's available here and good stuff.)

1. Razer Carcharias

2. Razer Piranha

3. Roccat Kave 5.1

4. Logitech G35 7.1

Thanks in advance!

I'm using the Razer Carcharias right now and they're OK.

The bass is pretty weak, but the rest of the sound spectrum is average, not amazing. They're ultra comfy, velvet over-the-ear design cans.

The headset does feel pretty sturdy, I don't think it would break if you cared for them properly. Although, I have heard a lot about the left ear just up and dying. Maybe a poor wiring job?

The microphone capture quality is good, but any "noise canceling" claims Razer makes is non-existent. The mic will pick up a lot of ambient nose; I get a constant "hisss" sound when recording, regardless of what mic volume is set at.

Bottomline: for around $80, they're overpriced by about $30. It is a $50 headset easily. I'm looking to return mine and try something else out.

-----------

I can't say about the Piranha, but I'm not going to bother with Razer's headsets after this return.

The G35 is expensive and it is a USB, simulated surround sound headset. I would avoid.

Roccat Kave looks the most promising. I do like the design that it uses all 3, 3.5mm jacks (front, rear and center). Would like to get my hands on those. It seems very difficult to buy. I can't find them anyplace I've used or even heard of.

I currently have the Roccat Kave's. Love them to death . I really do like how solid these things are and how much control you have over the volume. The bass rumble (you can enable vibration units inside the cans to trigger at deeper bass) is immense, really cool in games that take full use of it. Also the mic is crystal clear, I mean like its really good.
The comfort is very very high, these things fit around your head and feel all cushiony and stuffs xD, which aid quiet a bit in canceling out noise. The range is good, deep bass to good highs etc.

I heard that the Razer products where overpriced and not that great.
IMO it seems between the Kave's and G35

Honestly, a good set of headphones with a clip on mic will be better than any of these "gaming headsets". I suggest the ATH-M50(m50s if you want a straight cord), along with a Zalman clip on mic.

My budget is up to $100 only but I can increase it up to $200, but I need to wait for a week or two.

Well, I'm sorry.. Honestly, I'm a noob when it comes to computer audio. I picked Razer, Roccat and Logitech because they're very popular here but I don't know technically which is the better ones. I heard Sennheiser is doing good, but I dunno.. seriously.

That's easy. Grab yourself the JVC HA-RX700s for ~50$.

Then buy the boom mic of your choice and stick it to the ear piece via velcro or tape or what ever.
