Please help me pick some new speakers. (£300 budget/$450) - Page 3

Ok i just was in the market for some new speakers. I'm an absolute audiophile and i searched and searched for several months for speakers that pleased me, to no avail. Then to my luck, these bad boys graced my ears: http://audioengineusa.com/Store/Audioengine-5
and all i can say is, get them. they're right in your price range, and if you're not already an audiophile, these will make you one. They're powered speakers so all you need to do is hook them up and enjoy them, no amp required. They're audiophile approved, and i wouldn't go looking too much farther for speakers. If thats your price range, i'd stop at these and buy them, thats what i did, and i couldn't possibly be more pleased with them.
By the way, I'm listening to the same types of music you are, Which is mainly why i felt i could really help you out. and any self respecting audiophile wouldn't buy a "Surround Sound" a 2 speaker system will destroy a 5.1 any day in sound quality, and these particular speakers are one of the best I've ever heard.

^ My Audioengine P4's are in the mail. I've actually never even heard them, but Audioengine has been getting ridiculously good reviews.
