BC2 and others crashing

whats going on.
new build.
latest drivers.
temps on cards max around 70c while gaming

i get random crashes in game (BC2). screen just goes white or black. some times i can ctrl/alt/del out of it,but most the time i have to reboot. other games have froze too. CoD Metro etc

event viewer says nviddmkm error cards stopped working and recovered blaaah blaah blaah

had a issue like this with ati years ago,it turned out my ram wasnt getting enough juice.

so ive double checked my ram. im running 1.65volts on defualt timeings.

cards are BFG oc'd. they worked fine in my old system even on bc2 with no crashing. CPU is running stock.
no win updates and it still crashes. crashes with all installed too
crashes with soundcard or onboard sound. so its not that

this new build is just the CPU MB and Ram thats new
all other gear is from my old build.
psu is overkill i know. but had lots of fans and water cooling in the old setup.

could that be on its way out, would it cause this type of crash?

things ive tried but not had any luck
tried running gcards on there own..still crashes
changed ram voltage from stock MB settings to proper settings, eg volts... still crashes
win updates and with out them.. still crashes
fresh install basic as possable.. crashes
tried diff nvidia drivers.. last 3 i think.. had glitches in Black ops so went back to the latest ones (could it just be them?)

im pulling my hair out. other than the gaming this rig is great. games run great. then locks up anytime from 30 mins to an hour or two

I used to get alot of crashes to desktops, the following fix has fixed a few different crash issues for myself and friends - i hope it will have the same effect for you.

Open your My Documents,
Open the BFBC2 Folder,
Open the Settings with notepad,
At the bottom it will say dxversion= (most likely will say auto) Change the value to 9 so it will be
DxVersion=9
Save, close and launch the game.

Best of luck!
