$600 ($605 is okay) budget including windows and monitor and peripherals BUT i already have a case, psu, and hdd. and the last stipulation is you have to include this ram

i added a screenshot of what components i need.... i would really appreciate help on this, i think i did the best i could

edit: forgot the most important part, this computer will be used for a high school kid who isn't too much into gaming, i just want to make sure this rig will last awhile and can be upgraded pretty easily

What case is it?
Generic?
Can it fit ATX?
What about your PSU?

its an antec 900 so ya it fits atxand micro atx. its a 750 watt corsair so no worries there (i already have them so i figured i would use them in this build, im aware the 750w is more than enough, probably twice as much as i would need)

Looks good, except for the fact that there's no discrete graphics card.
Not the greatest graphics solution, but it will certainly do for normal web surfing etc.

well i figured if he did get into video gaming i could just throw in a new gpu at a later time, right now hes not interested in pc gaming... i should be able to convince the young lad otherwise though

Due to shipping, open box M4A87TD EVO costs the same as non-open box. Not worth it.
An addendum to Badwrench's great suggestion:
Phenom II x2 + M4A87TD EVO (combo) - $170
G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 7-8-7 - $65 ($5 less and usually overclocks better, but if you really want the Mushkins that is fine)
LITE-ON 24X DVD drive - $16 shipped after promo
Coolermaster Hyper 212 [Buy.com] - $29 shipped

See what you can fit in, and good luck

The 555 is a great chip on its own, even as a dual core. The only thing it would lose out to more cores on a simple build would be any sort of editing, but seeing as your kid would be using it for basic stuff (internet, email, youtube), it should be more than enough. And if/when he decides to start gaming, it will still hold its own on most games.

Or....just take the difference in $$ of removing the HDD from my build and get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103808

Edit: looks like the price on my build is now about $50 higher due to promos being over.
