Asus Rampage III Formula Motherboard

Thread Starter
i want to overclock my i7 950 on this motherboard, my gskill 2000mhz 6gb ram is coming tomorrow but had some questions. I want to get to about 4.4ghz on speed, is 1.37 cpu vcore good for that speed? and is it ok to use 23x multiplier and up blck to get to 4.4ghz? Should i mess with any ram timings or dram volt or qpi volt or cpu pll volt? or just leave that on auto. Alot of options in the bios way different then my old mobo. Also should I disable HT? thx guys

Hey buddy,

That sounds entirely reasonable. I'd max the multi and run a 190 bclk. Should be easy on water. Also, I tend to set all voltages aside from vcore to default, and start with a high vcore, working my way down until it becomes unstable.

Unless you do lots of video trans-coding, turn HT off for better stability.

Hope that helps.
