sandy bridge ram speed vs timings?

i am going to be building a new sandy bridge computer. will sandy bridge benefit from faster ram or lower timings, and what combination of speed/timings will be optimal for sandy bridge?

btw, what do you think of my system?

i7 2600k
palit gts 570 sonic
xfx black edition 850w psu
samsung spinpoint f3 1tb drive
corsair h70
antec lanboy air case

According to Intel 1600MHz is the officially supported speed. Beyond that is also possible with the right amount of tweaking. Personally I'd throw in some cheap 1600MHz CL9 memory and be done with it.

That I don't know I've never really looked into anything above 1600mhz myself I'm sure someone else will answer that soon though.
