Windows Server 2003 vs 2008 RC2

As of currently I am running 2003 on my server and the reason I haven't upgraded yet was cause I have that awesome HDD pooling feature. I have been reading around and noticed that the removed that feature in 2008. Has there been any patches since then or a way to be able to pool the HDD's in 2008 or if I want that feature should I just stick with 2003? Also are there any more benefits to switching to 2008 or disadvantages from leaving 2003?

k, screw this, guess i'll take my questions to a forum that will answer it for me. :/

Sad I've been here since 2007 and even though the userbase has increased over 100% since then I can't get a decent reply when trying to find out the difference between 2 BASIC operating systems... Mod please close this thread if you can. Even if someone answers I don't wanna know anymore since I basically had to rage to get one.

as far as i know you cannot pool hard drives, however you can create software raid volumes, etc. I cannot answer that question definitely because im using server 2008 enterprise and have not had the need for it.

Hmm...honestly i would stick with 2003 for sure. You talking about 2008 or 2008R2? No matter, 2003 is rock solid and does what it needs to, so i would stick with it until something clearly superior for your needs comes out.

Umm......spending money on hardware is only part of what people on here do. If you think that everyone on this site has only knowledge of hardware, you are mistaken. But yes, google is your friend.
