Copy files from raid array ?

hello all probably a nobbie question but i have 2 500gb hard drive that use to be in raid 0 and want to get the data of them but the motherboard im using now dosent support raid :/

is there any way to do this

switch back to the other board and copy the files to another hdd (such as another computer, external hdd, etc) and then switch back.

then my method is pretty much the only way, since even if your board had it's own raid controller, there's no guarantee it's compatible with arrays from your old board, meaning the only safe way is to switch back and backup.

You need to use your old motherboard, RAID is always tied to the controller of the motherboard.

Raid 0 should only be used for operating systems without any important data, or drives where SPEED for benchmarking or temporary data can be transfered.

RAID 0 isnt for storage or anything that is important.

Also, with raid 0, you cant store some files on drive 1 and some on drive 2. it works like this.

512 packets of potato chips need to be shared over 2 drives
256 potato chips go to drive 1, 256 packets of potato chips go to drive 2.
