I am pretty new to overclocking. I always hear about people changing the voltage to the CPU. What exactly does changing the voltage do? if any one has any guides or videos that are good at explain overclocking could you post. thanks

You need to increase the voltage because an overclocked cpu requires more power. There are plenty of good guides on this site, just search for a guide on whatever type of cpu you are overclocking because there are going to be differences in overclocking a P4 and an i7.
