USB host controller problem

Occasionally I have been getting a code 43 error. 1 of my USB controllers is listed as unknown device:
I've googled it and all I can find is delete the driver and let windows re install it. I've done that and sometimes it fixes it but the problem comes back. Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes not for weeks or a month. But it always comes back. Does anyone know how to fix this permanently?

Use the drivers from Asus's website? try older revisions?

do you have the usb3 version of the board?

if so, that may be the usb 3.0 controller and windows won't automatically install drivers for that.

Nope not USB3.0 and my drivers are from ASUS website.
From the amount of things I came up with on google I figured this would be a more widespread problem. Anyone else have any ideas?
