Hello all im new here and would love some help

Im going to build my first PC soon and honeslty dont know much about computers so any help would be great

I need help choosing a cpu, Firstly all i do on the computer is surf the net for hours on end and watch a few movies from time to time (using LCD TV as screen), please dont hate me cause im not a gamer smile.gif

I think i will go for the Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 but my problem is choosing a cpu
i was talking to someone who said definately go for the intel core i7 but do i honeslty need the i7 for what i do?

I was look ing at these:
Intel core i5 650,661,760
would any of them be okay? or should i just spend the extra $$ for the i7?

I dont know if cpu would have anything to do with noise but my aim is to have a quite PC

Any help would be very much appreciated

If you're not gaming. Then you don't need an i7. You could definitely get away with an i3, and even OC it to get more out of it.

i5 will be fine for gaming, games don't support 8 threads yet so you will be safe with the i5.

I highly recommend the P180 from Antec as a case, it's very classy looking but also has very silent cooling, though the case is less about performance and more about silence.
