Really nice work, I love those orange fans! False floor give me ideas tho...

How do you like that Sentry2 fan controller? Would you recommend it?

At least you can sand parts for free
Good thing saving up for that camera, gotta have something to take sweet pics for your build log! I took some of my pics with my fiancée's Rebel XS and others with the Sony point and shoot, def. no pro photographer by any means.

Thanks. The Sentry2 has been OK, especially for the price. I wanted to get a Kaze Master Pro, but didn't want to pay the extra money.

I did a lot of testing with the Sentry2 during the build and noticed that it made noise with some fans. On my 120 rad I have the stock coolermaster fan from the hyper212+ on one side, and the stock corsair h50 fan on the other side. Both of these ran silent on all speed settings. Antec tricools ran fine too. My scythe slipstream 1900 rpm's on the 240 rad were the noisy ones. They would make noise at any speed setting every time I tested them. But now that I have everything assembled, I don't hear anything. Could be that the noise of airflow drowns it out, idk. I keep all my fans on 100%, I just like to be able to know that I can turn them down if I want to.

I really just wanted a bay device for the temp monitoring, which the sentry2 does well. Buying two LCD temp displays plus a 5.25 bay bracket would have actually been more expensive, so I got this. I cut the first temp probe and wired it to a threaded temp monitor in my loop after my res, and it works great for monitoring water temp. Touch screen works well too.

All this to say that I'm not sure whether I would recommend it or not. If you're looking for something low-budget I suppose it does well enough. There may be a list somewhere of which fans it make noise with, who knows. All I can say is it hasn't completely died on me yet, but I've only used it about a week. There are definitely more solid units, they just cost about $20 more.

Thanks for input, I've been reading some mixed reviews on them but I does everything I want it too: Cheap, temp monitoring and I can turn the screen/leds off in the night time. Its definitely nice to get some feedback from an actual user. Greatly appreciated.

Great work on that case too! I wish I had room between my psu and motherboard to do a false floor...

Edit: I will be using it on Yate-Loon medium speeds, I'm not sure about noise on those.

Yate Mediums will be nice and quiet. I would suggest a fan controller if you want silence, but they'll be ok. I have my Highs turned down to ~5V and they're pretty much silent aside from the air movement at >1m.

Awesome stuff man. Love the colours under UV; the power cables, fans biohazard and res work so well together. Nice work.
Does the loop look brighter in person? Some blue would be so kickass in there. Do you think some blue dye would do anything good?

I have now decided to put a false floor of sorts under the mobo in my build. Thanks for that

I think he meant if they would make noise using the sentry2, as it seems to be picky about which fans it will run quietly with.

Thanks, glad I could offer some inspiration. I think the floor makes everything look so much cleaner. That is about as bright as the tubing looks irl. I was hoping for a darker orange under UV, but I am happy with this. I've heard a lot of UV red tubing glows orange-ish, so I may look at that at some point. The UV cathodes are actually the only lights in the case now besides the res LED's, and it is quite visible underneath my desk. I want to avoid using any dyes in my loop which is why I just went with colored tubing. I guess there's no good pics of it, but the sata cables are UV blue and the usb/audio header cables are UV blue shrink-wrapped so I feel its enough.

Yeah, I don't want them to make any noises brought on by the lower voltages and the fan controller.

Also do you notice any difference temperature wise with the false floor in? I mean outside of the fact it looks greats, is it functional?

The only temp difference would have come from flipping my psu, so that it is intaking air from outside instead of drawing air from inside the case. But I installed the watercooling at the same time, so no way to tell. Also it doesn't really matter to me since both my rads are also drawing outside air anyways, but if you have an air-cooled gpu you should notice a difference from a psu flip, not from the floor itself.
