High Capacity MP3 Player

Thread Starter
Okay so here is my problem, I have about a terabyte of music, and I would like to carry a bit more of it with me than I already can. I have a couple 160GB iPods which are both full. Do I have any options for a larger capacity device that could fit in my pocket? Obviously I won't need to be able to FLAC seeing as how I am using iPods and iTunes currently.

No such thing as a 1TB MP3 player to my knowledge. If there was I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

How could you possibly have that much music... I have like 6 gigs which is roughly 1500 songs. You must download entire albums, I usually only like one or two songs off an album. Still though, I can't even begin to imagine that much music.
Your best bet, get a netbook and upgrade the hard drive. Good luck fitting it in your pocket.

You can't even get a 1TB disk into most laptops (there are 2.5" drives, but they have an extra platter, making them too tall for most laptops). There is no way to get it into something smaller right now.

Well there is the Archos 5 Internet Tablet and they come with a 500GB hard drive. Not quite 1TB but you'll be able to carry more music than you could with your iPod.

I don't know if it's any good or if you can change out the hard drive. :/

I easily have 600gb of music, granted I DJ occasionally. But I do not listen to ALL of it personally.
When it is FLAC and higher bitrate it takes more space. None of that 128k or less crap here.
