Complete PC build

Thread Starter
Hi there,

First of all i dont wanna be lazy or something but i would love if someone could assemble me a super awsome pc setup (gaming/design):

Maximum dollars to spend : 2,328.55 USD (Sold my super expensive unused macbook!)

A few guide lines:

Case must be a: Corsair 600T
I really want an ssd for the OS drive
Prefer Cpu cooling: h70
and i prefer a 2600K as CPU
Oh and also I probably gonna wait for the 6990 card (so count that in)

Thx in advance!

Lets say you were shopping at newegg only here is a good setup:

https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/M...px?ID=14799405

That came up under your budget, just need to add another stick of ram for 8GB. Did not include mouse/keyboard but everything else including monitor.

Gotta give props to macs for having supper resell value because of all the hipsters willing to throw cash at anything shinny with an apply logo on it.

You seam to already have the build thought out, just get at least a 80 plus 850 watt psu, a Cavier green TB drive for storage, and a good 120 - 80GB SSD which will cost between 200$ and 300$ depending on what size a SSD you get.

A few thoughts to counter some of the posters in this thread.

1) Do NOT get 8GB of RAM if you don't need it. More RAM than you will need is a bad thing, not a good thing.
2) Do NOT get a Caviar Green. Seriously. Don't. Get a Black or a F3 for a couple dollars more.
3) Do NOT get an AMD with a budget like that. AMDs are great, don't get me wrong, but they are seriously (by seriously, I mean, MAJORLY) out-performed when you get to a certain price point. With a 2.3k budget, an AMD would be a very poor decision.

Ok, let me give this a try.

It's a balance of NewEgg and Amazon Deals, I prefer Amazon due to some bonuses and the FREE Shipping on some items.

Intel 2600K - $338 FREE Civilization V + FREE Shipping

Gigabyte UD4 - $189

Corsair 4GB Memory - $49.95

SSD X25-M 120GB - $229

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - $59.95

If you're going to do design work, you'll benefit from CUDA and an Nvidia card.
EVGA GTX 570 - $359 ( Recommended )
EVGA GTX 580 - $509
MSI GTX 470 - $250 AR ( Dual 470's overclocked to 800-1600-1800 provide best price/performance for $500.)

Corsair 600T - $149 AR FREE Shipping

Noctua NH-D14 - $79.95 ( Recommended )
Corsair H70 - $92

HX-750 - $129 AR

Windows 7 Premium Builder's Edition - $99

24" Monitor 1080p 2ms refresh - $199

Grand Total $1830.95 with solid parts that will work well together.

You have room to spend more on monitor/s.
