RAM for GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD7 / 2600K - Page 2

Okay, well I have a slightly bitter pill to choke down: The RAM I chose is too tall.

The most part about this is that I was pretty sure they would not clear the cooler.

Meh... a delay is a good teacher of patience.

So now I am back to shopping, and I will take a look at the recommendations made.

Gonna purchase tomorrow (off the Egg) after letting the information simmer for a day.

"Thanks" again for the input, guys.

Ya'll ROCK!

So here are some kits that I have seen that might do.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Patriot Gamer 2 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)

CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB

Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 4GB (2 x 2GB)

I did find the Ripjaws that were mentioned earlier, but they are out of stock at the moment.

Thoughts?

Experiences?

Any other kits that ya'll would recommend?

I'd try anything Mushkin with the Frostbyte heatsink utilized due to its low profile. Redline or Blackline for maximum ownage!

Just wanted to let you know the NH-D14 will not fit on properly with the UD7. It pushes against the capacitors on one side and you end up with really uneven core temps.

Hi.

Are you certain that the cooler mounting brackets were installed correctly?

Mine seems to fit fine with no motherboard components impeding mounting:

(mounted with orientation from front-to-rear)

I have viewed the "memory support list" but it is woefully short.

Looking for some peeps that have some insight to help expand upon this list.

My intention is to utilize the Noctua NH-D14, so tall heatsinks are probably out of the equation.

Thanks for your time.
