Looks interesting. Do you get a lot of spilling? An acrylic cover and some cold cathode could make this thing look wicked.

You should attach some acrylic blocks using the silicone to the fall, to act as 'breakers'.

Could get some funky looking swirls and patterns going on if you use some LED's, although I dont know how thick that oil is

Perhaps next year I'll throw some LED's in the mix

Thanks for looking!

Is there a lot of cooling gained by the open air or the movement? The oil is constantly dropping, will dust hurt it?

So far so good. Cooling isn't as good as I had hoped...completely submerged and surrounded by 5 gallons of oil absorbs heat much better!

1. Use plexi glass (just would look cool)
2. Shorter oil fall
3. Lights
4. Higher flow pump, multi pump?

This is a good proof of concept, I am sure some advanced modders with full shops at there disposal could run with this idea.

Also I would build a semi reservoir in the middle of the "fall" that could capture more oil and hold the mobo in there
