My okay framerates were due to several things really, my system at the time was only a Phenom X3 @2.5Ghz and an 8600GT with DDR2 800Mhz, it was probably more to do with the 750GB HDD with 32MB Cache with a Windows Partition of 375GB, making it a bit faster when recording FRAPS.
Plus the game I was playing was only BF2142 in 1280x1024. Not exactly a system strainer. tongue.gif

My Red Alert 3 footage was less FPS, naturally. tongue.gif

You can save the project in Vegas, but if you delete the original linked in material of that project it wont be avail to edit again. Basicall, you can go to file>save or save as, and it will save the project, but if you delete the original files you were using in the project, it wont open anymore. There is no other way to save it without rendering it...
