Please help me choose a case for next project.

Thread Starter
Greetings everyone I am a longtime lurker first time poster. I need help choosing a case for my next project. Here are the candidates...

Silverstone FT02
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811163161

Fractal Design Arc Midi
http://www.fractal-design.com/?view=...gory=2&prod=57

Corsair 600T White
http://www.corsair.com/cases/graphit...ower-case.html

secondary candidate aesthetics only

Silverstone TJ07
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811163067
(Price is steep which is why its on the secondary list)

I plan on air cooling my next rig and want to minimize dust (my current CM690 seems to attract a lot of dust). My concern with the Silverstone cases is no USB 3.0 support (and paying 200-350 its something I would like to have).

In addition the FT02 doesn't appear to have a great deal of room for GPU growth. From most pictures I have seen a card 2 inches longer than a 6970 would be impossible (this is only a small concern). I plan on having a window so that would leave me with having to mod the FD Arc Midi.

Any advice and thoughts are welcome I built my first rig after lurking around and finding some good advice here 4 years ago.

PS - Would it be possible to add a USB 3.0 front port to a case (primarily the Silverstone's)?

FD plans to release a window for the Arc if that matters at all.

I really don't know much about any of these. But after looking at all of them, I wouldn't recommend either of the Silverstone cases. They don't look like they have very good cable management.

I would probably recommend the Corsair 600T. It looks pretty nice and has a front USB 3.0 Port. You'll need a motherboard that supports USB 3.0 though.

I personally have a NZXT Phantom, It's kinda heavy but looks really nice and has plenty of space and cable management. No USB 3.0 on the front but it does have eSATA on the top.. Plus it has plenty of fans, and plenty of room for more.

EDIT: At this time I think the only way to add USB 3.0 to the front is to put it in there custom-ly.

I seem to have overlooked the fact that with the Silverstone FT02 its mobo is mounted 90' and as such the connections are on top (technically eliminating my worry of a front USB 3.0).

I really do like the lines on the Corsair the fan controller to me takes away from it however.

Dembo - its ironic you mention the NZXT Phantom because I had looked in that direction I am not a fan of doors (In fact I loathe doors). It did inspire me to paint my next project both interior and exterior.

I think I have narrowed it down between the FT02 and the Arc Midi. It stinks the Arc Midi isn't out yet so I can't really get any feedback/reviews about the case.

Hmm, if it doesn't have a door how do you install anything, or are you talking about on the CD bay?

No the door on the front of the Phantom covering the drive bays. Its one of my biggest pet peeves lol. I hate leaving the door open and closing it makes me feel things are unaccessible.

Go for the white 600T, really smart looking case with good cable management and airflow.

That Raven 03 is interesting I am not sure what to make of its appearance. I do like that they chopped down its length but overall it seems very crammed.
