I don't blame you there, I get a 4.287ghz at 171x25 with 1.30vcore with llc full calibration on, 1.25qpiv, 1.42pll

get really sweet temps on air with a good cooler my max temp during a short 3 run of LinX was 63 maybe?

LOL! You didn't run it right. You have to extract the folder first. Looks like in those pics you were somehow doing a winrar benchmark or something. Just extract the x264 benchmark folder to your desktop or whatever and click the "run benchmark" vbscript in the folder. It only takes a few minutes.

You also need Avisynth installed for it to run. Very small filter application for video editing.

got a 2600k chip last night and was running it on a stock cooler. Picked up a cheapo cooler till i get the noctua d14 to do some overclocking. Intel cooler was junk and i could only run at 4.1 or 4.2ghz stock and would get like 75 degree temps. The new cooler gave me like 15-20 degree drop. I can clock to 4.8 on 1.366v and stable no issues and temps are 72 degree under load. Right now i am experimenting and running at 45x and 100 blck and 1.272v stable no issues. I am not going to go over 1.4v for now and do not want to attempt 5.0ghz till i get a high end air cooler. Not going to be messing around with watercooling since air cooling works just fine. I am happy at 4.5 and nice to see it can hit 4.8ghz and stay under 1.4. Using ddr3 ram 1600mhz @ 1.65v but running it at 1.60v. Any questions let me know and i can answer them. I have not ran a vantage with the new cooler which is a Thermaltake Contac 29 (Yes i know junk but better than stock) but here is some benches from last night.

Hey bro,

Can you add your data into this spreadsheet?

http://www.overclock.net/intel-general/908637-sandy-bridge-benchmarking-club.html

Please also add the 980x data so it can be up for comparison, I will be adding 930 data as well.

Sorry for the delay guys. I went out and got the P67A-UD4 yesterday and was going through some setup issues. That's all taken care of now and I will continue to test later today.

The Msi P67A-GD65 was holding back my chip at 4.7ghz. Now with the latest bios and understanding the UD4, my 2600k is now stable at 5ghz with 1.475v:D

I was able to get to 5.2ghz before and crashing. I prolly just need some more Vcore. I stopped at 1.5v in the bios.

Thanks to Sin for helping me understand the Gigabyte boards a little more last night.

I think I mentioned this before somewhere, some of the bios out there are buggy as hell (cough) UEFI (cough). I kind of feel sorry for non GB board owners, atleast at this point in time. GUI is always worse than CLI.

Owned again . omg Sb is a total winner.

But think about this 2600k can be stable 24/7 @ 4.8ghz on air 980x cant.

I want to see max clocks on 980x on air vs max oc of 2600k on air .
