You guy are making me laugh now. About water. As it looks to me, water will do nothing for you as I cant push this chip over 4.8ghz on the GD65. I have water on the chip now, but thats not holding me back. A good air cooler could keep it at 4.8 too. I haven't had much time with this thing yet. Started playing this morning. My temps are very good tho compared to using a air cooler by far, it's just not doing much other than that.

Well here's the 980x vs the 2600k both at 4.4ghz in Cine11.5

No, I'm getting artifacts with the tri 480's. Everything else seems fine.

Yikes? GPU problem or clock speed problem?

Relative speeds:

980x = 1.876~ per core revised .93

i7-2600k = 2.1425 per core revised 1.07

10%? more core vs core performance for the SB chip?

Wait I guess that doesn't account for HT...

Uno momento.

Yah so a little over 10% faster per core right?

Here is a 1090T @ 4.4GHz so we can toss that in to the mix for perspective.

what gpu are they using for that test?
can't be the same 580. There's way more than a 1k difference in 3dmarkscore but it's only 1k difference in cpu score to the 2600k

Nah that's from my old rig, on the gtx 470... you can pretty much ignore the gpu score it was for the cpu score alone.
